organisations. The primary purpose
of the domain is to ensure
sustainability & gain a competitive
advantage for the organisation that
deploys it. It provides governance
for data & the logic of software &
hardware which are deployed
in the organisation. The governance
includes principles, policies &
standards within which technologies
are selected, implemented &
managed in the organisation.


INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE

The information architecture domain
focuses on managing information
flow & exchanges that are needed
to enable & support business
processes & functions in the
organisation. It covers business
rules & entity relationships. This
includes business data, how it is
stored, retrieved, used, & managed
in an organisation & between
organisations.The organisational
information determines the type of
applications which are required for

Application architecture domain
encompasses strategic & operational
plans for modelling applications
(information systems). This
includes relationships & connectivity
amongst the applications & how
the applications relate towards each
other, as well as the business
processes. The architecture is used
formanaging applications’ portfolio.
The architecture defines how
applications are developed,
implemented & used/reused. Based
on the architecture, applications
are selected implemented,
supported, & managed over
time & space.
